"What do I love about this?"

One of my most important questions to my students and to myself, is "What do I LOVE about this?" It's important to set fear and self limitations aside and put our attention to where it yields the best results...(away from the ego, and resting humbly at the feet of our subject.) If our goal is to identify and glorify the beauty of the world, we will be successful regardless of what the "finished" painting looks like!
I loved the flourish of these analogous sister colors. Because they were the same value and chromacity (intensity), and shared the same mother color (red), the edges melt into each other, and my story is about the swirl of saturated color. That is what I loved.
Thank you for following me on this journey!
