And now for some "cool" thoughts...

A few winters ago my husband, Randy, and I went cross country skiing on the groomed trails of Superior Municipal Forest in Northern Wisconsin by Lake Superior. Don’t let the title “Municipal” fool you… it comprises 4,400 acres of forest and natural habitat, (making it the third largest forest within a city in the nation.)

Immersing myself deeply into the mood of this old and sentient boreal forest, I felt I had ventured into a foreboding fairytale; removed from the world, yet in it. This is the story my painting would tell.
